Why the name change?
The name LittleSnapper has always been prescriptive of just a small portion of the apps’s features and uses - so we’ve changed that in “version 2”!
How can I prepare my LittleSnapper library for Ember?
Ember will import your LittleSnapper library into your Ember library, and leave the original one untouched. The only thing you need to do to prepare for the launch of Ember is to make sure you’re using the most recent version of LittleSnapper, as only LittleSnapper libraries opened with LittleSnapper v1.8.5 can be imported into Ember.
Can I Import Multiple LittleSnapper Libraries into my Ember Library?
Absolutely! Just use the File menu’s “Import…” option. You can select images and LittleSnapper libraries you wish to import.
Is Ember a paid upgrade?
Yes. Ember is a brand new app on the Mac App Store, and is the first paid upgrade to LittleSnapper since its launch in December 2008.
Will you offer upgrade pricing?
Ember will only be available on the Mac App Store, and Apple do not allow us to offer you, our good-looking, loyal customers upgrade pricing on the Mac App Store. :(
How much will Ember for Mac cost?
At launch, Ember costs $49.99.
What are the System Requirements for Ember?
Ember for Mac requires OS X Mavericks.
Will I be able to download LittleSnapper after Ember for Mac launches?
If you’re a Mac App Store customer, the app will remain available in your Purchases tab (though will not be listed elsewhere on the Mac App Store). If you have a serial number for LittleSnapper, you can download the most recent version of LittleSnapper here
. Mac App Store customers who have previously run the Mac App Store version of LittleSnapper on their Mac can also use the direct version.

Why does Ember for Mac require OS X 10.8.3?
We’ve built Ember on top of the latest and greatest OS X technologies, and will continue to do so. As a result, Ember will require OS X Mountain Lion or later.
Will you be updating Ember with new features and improvements?
Absolutely. The Ember team is already working on the next feature update, and you can expect regular and frequent updates with new features. We’re just getting started with Ember!
