Publishing to MobileMe

In RapidWeaver 4.1, we significantly improved the way that you can publish to MobileMe. There’s no longer any situations where you need to fuss over folders in the Publishing sheet. To clarify, here’s how to publish to MobileMe (effective, RapidWeaver 4.1 and greater)

Publish to homepage.mac.com

Go to the Site Setup window, and enter a full URL of http://homepage.mac.com/username/ (add a folder name at the end, should you wish). Then simply choose to publish to MobileMe. RapidWeaver will then upload it to the homepage.mac.com location.

Uploading to web.me.com

Go to the Site Setup window, and enter a full URL of http://web.mac.com/username/ or http://web.me.com/username/ (add a folder name at the end, should you wish). Then simply choose to publish to MobileMe. RapidWeaver will then figure the correct settings and upload it to the web.me.com or web.mac.com location.

Personal Domains

Go to the Site Setup window, and enter a full URL of http://www.yourdomain.com (add a folder name at the end, should you wish). Then simply choose to publish to MobileMe. RapidWeaver will then upload it to the web.me.com location (which is used for Personal Domains), but use the Personal Domain for all the RSS links and site appearances.

Other Notes

We’ve also changed the default location that sites will be uploaded to. Previously, it would have been http://homepage.mac.com/username/ As of 4.1b2+, it will be http://web.me.com/username - this does not affect existing sites.

Apple are discontinuing the Homepage application from July 7th 2009. This does not, however, affect sites hosted on the homepage.mac.com which are published with RapidWeaver.
