Preferences
You can access the Preferences window from the RapidWeaver menu. RapidWeaver > Preferences.
General
When RapidWeaver Launches
These options allow you to configure RapidWeaver to do nothing, prompt you to choose a document to work with, open your last project or create a new project when launching the application.
Show Project Window
The project window allows you to quickly access your recent RapidWeaver projects along with useful links.
Check For New Versions
When left checked RapidWeaver will automatically check for updates to the software on launch. This option is not included in Mac App Store versions of RapidWeaver
Use Large Icons for webpage list
This option allows you to choose whether the webpage list uses small or large icons.
Automatically Resize Larger Images
Use this preference to set a default width for any new images placed into a project that are larger than the value entered. Uncheck this preference to insert large images at their original size.
Enable Web Developer Tools
If you're wanting to use the WebKit Developer Tools to analyse pages as they load in RapidWeaver's Preview mode, this option will allow you to enable it.
Save Quick Look Previews
RapidWeaver can generate Quick Look previews for each project when saving it. When enabling this option, it can increase the time required to save your document, and as such is turned off by default.

Publishing
Clear Publishing Flags When
Allows you to specify when RapidWeaver should mark a page as unchanged: after publishing or exporting it,
When Exporting
These settings determine what RapidWeaver does when exporting your site to a local folder: whether it should delete an existing folder before exporting, and whether it should open your exported site in the selected browser.
Enable Smart Publishing
If, for whatever reason, you would prefer to republish all files every time you publish you can turn off smart publishing for all projects by unchecking this box.
Consolidate Common Files
RapidWeaver will, by default, only upload one set of ‘common’ (theme) files to your server and reference them. Unchecking this option will upload a copy of the theme files for each page in your project.
Consolidate CSS Files
This option will minimise the number of CSS files used to style your page. It works by placing all your CSS files into one, for quicker page loading and (in some cases) improved Internet Explorer support.
Compress CSS Files
If you want to package your CSS files to be as small as possible, this option will compress the contents of each CSS file to make the footprint of each page smaller. It will increase the time taken to export each page in your project when previewing or publishing.
