FTP Uploads with Courier
1. Check your Publishing Details!
We can not stress enough how important it is to obtain the correct publishing credentials from you webhosts.
When setting up an FTP stamp in Courier, ensure that all the fields are entered correctly: Server address, username and password. The Site Path is often something that people incorrectly enter.
Some common site paths include:
/
/httpdocs/
/www/
/public_html/
This is by no means an exhaustive list and paths can vary greatly between different hosts, so if you're still experiencing issues please consult your webhost's online help to determine the correct upload folder.
You may even want to contact your webhosts directly and ensure that they have not made any recent changes to the server which may have affected your settings and that you are still within your allocated disk space on their server.
2. What if I'm still having issues setting up FTP?
Open a new, private support request here: http://support.realmacsoftware.com/, however be sure to provide the following details:
- Who you're hosting with.
- The error message you're seeing
- Any other pertinent details about the files you're trying to upload - the file name etc.
