Digg Events Have Incorrect Time Stamp
There is a bug in Socialite that causes events from the Digg service to have the wrong time stamp, usually several hours before they actually appear. This makes it impossible to read the latest events from Digg in my unread folder, since all of them congregate at the bottom (because they have the wrong, older time stamp). For instance, a new Digg event that comes in after I refresh the service is displayed as, say, "3 hours ago," when it should say "Just now."
Does the Realmac Software team acknowledge this bug, and are there plans to fix it in a future release?

Hi Jordan
Thanks for your message - I believe we've exchanged emails about this previously. Whilst this is the only report of the issue, I have filed it for investigation. We don't have any plans to change this behaviour currently, however we'll certainly look into it for a future update. I believe the issue is with items that get promoted that don't refresh the time stamp.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Nik

How does an article get promoted? Does the Digg service include events that are not in the front page of Digg?

Hi Jordan
Thanks for your message. My understanding is that the API shows news as it gets promoted. That means that the time of submission is most likely used to determine the timestamp - not when it's available via the Digg API. I'm going to be chatting with the original Eventbox developer about this to clarify.
Kind Regards,
Nik

Thank you so much, Nik. I'm not positive, but I don't remember this issue with EventBox so I think the time stamp used to be the time that the article was promoted. It really means a lot to me that you're looking into this.

Hi Jordan
No worries: we'll take a look. I've opened a ticket here for us to look into this - though, as it's in our private bug tracker I can't guarantee that we'll be able to keep you in the loop about its progress. If we need any further information, I'll definitely be in touch.
Kind Regards,
Nik
