Feature request: Reduce inline preview of RSS-feeds to one row
Hi there!
Could you please add the option to reduce the inline preview of
RSS feeds to one row (in google reader and in your built in RSS
reader)?
It annoys the hell out of me that I cannot see a simple list of
articles.
I know that this would make some kind of feed identification
necessary, when you're working in a folder (or category as google
calls it).
A solution would be to add a dynamic title to the article in the
folder. The iPhone app "Reeder" utilises something like this (see
attached screenshot). In Reeder you can switch from feed-view to
date-view with one click. This could be done in Socialite, too I
believe.
To be honest: This 'missing' feature is the only reason I haven't bought Socialite yet and it saddens me, because I can't complete my triumvirate of Realmac software titles ;)

Thanks for your message. Whilst we don't have a way to explicitly limit the preview to one line, there are options for both Google Reader and the RSS module to limit the preview: just slide the slide to the left to reduce the length of the preview.

Hi Nik.
That is exactly my quarrel with Socialite. There is so much unused space in Socialite's feed view (see screenshot).
Is there no way to make it look like in NetNewsWire? (second screenshot)
It uses gReader sync, too. But from what you're saying, I guess you're using a different way of displaying content from gReader than the guys of Newsgator.

Currently there's no way to make it like this: it's a hang over from Eventbox, and as such it's something we've not yet had a chance to change. But we will be in the future!

That's good enough for me, I'll be patient.
Even if it means that I won't be using Socialite just right now, since it isn't a real alternative to NNW.
