Hi Adam,
Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with Socialite, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.
Do you still experience the same issues if you remove and re-add the service? Could you provide us with a Flickr URL so that we may further investigate the issue?
Kind regards,
Luke

Hi Adam,
Apologies for the delayed response - I also noticed that you have posted another thread with a different issue (which I shall shortly respond to) and commented on another users thread about this issue.
Could you try the following steps and let us know how you get on?
Does this resolve the issue?
Kind regards,
Luke

Hi Adam,
Sorry - I am a little confused. So did you run through the steps and yet the issue persists?
Kind regards,
Luke

Sorry yes I did all you said
and socialite shows 5 images from a upload containing 13

kinda related: would like to ask the following - I am using Socialite at home and at work, after removing the app from flickr and re authorising at work, why does it ask me at home to authorise again ? for the moment I have not reauthorised my home machine.

Hi Adam,
It well be because the Flickr API is returning just 5 images per-contact but this is something that we will look into.
Are you mobile syncing your keychains at all between the two systems?
Kind regards,
Luke

I dont understand why this cant be recreated - either the flickr API will only allow you to display 5 images from friends/contacts. or it something wrong with my setup/install/friends.
on every mac I have set up my flickr account on socialite I only ever get 5 images max from streams uploaded from friends/contacts, can you expand on the API issue that must effect all users ??
Support Staff 16 Posted by Nik Fletcher on 22 Jan, 2010 03:10 PM
Hi Adam
Thanks for your message. We're looking into ways around the API restriction of 5 images per contact for a future update.
Kind Regards,
Nik

Socialite 1.0.3 Beta 1 - NOT fixed
Support Staff 18 Posted by Nik Fletcher on 15 Feb, 2010 07:39 PM
Hi Adam
Thanks for your message. This isn't something we've been able to address in 1.0.3 however it remains on our bug tracker for future investigation.
Thanks
Nik

What about 1.0.4 ?
Also how come other apps don't seem to get stuck with this API 'restriction' as you put it?
Support Staff 20 Posted by Nik Fletcher on 15 Mar, 2010 09:31 AM
Hi Adam
As noted in the 1.0.4 release notes, there's only one fix in version 1.0.4: Facebook authentication fixes. We're continuing to look at how best to address this. In order to back-fill the new uploads we'd need to re-download a large number of contacts photos [and make a large number of API calls to Flickr, something they prefer we minimise], however we'll be looking into it for the future to try and expand this area of the application.
Kind Regards,
Nik

ok - would be nice if you could indicate there are more that have been uploaded
socialite shows the latest 5 (max) and then the 6th entry if needed might just indicate that there has in fact been more then 5 uploaded by contact in between checks. dont know if this would still count as an API call issue - or if you can make one call to see total number - dont know much about flickr API
it more frustrating that you dont know and so if there is 5 images I now always just load up flickr in case
Support Staff 22 Posted by Nik Fletcher on 15 Mar, 2010 04:21 PM
Thanks Adam
We'll be looking into this. We can't check for the presence of the 6th image without another API I believe, but we're looking into this.
Thanks
Nik

Any update on flickr API ? no changes from what I can see, now on version 1.2.1 ?
Thanks again
Support Staff 26 Posted by Nik Fletcher on 23 Aug, 2010 11:51 AM
Hi Adam
Nothing currently. It'll be noted in the release notes of any future release, so that'd be the place to look out for it being fixed.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Nik
