Can you have Socialite post a tweet to Facebook as a Facebook status update? I don't see this as an option in the preferences.

It's already been done. There's no need to reinvent the wheel in Socialite. See how-to here.

    Hi Guys

Thanks for your messages. We're looking into ways to allow easy cross-posting in a future update, however we don't have any further news on when or if this feature may appear.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Nik

Dean, sure, you can enable twitter in FB, but that then means EVERYTHING you post on twitter goes to FB as well-that doesn't work for most of us, who need some control over what is on FB and what is on twitter. You can use the #fb hashtag at the end of a tweet if you've set up selective twitter status on FB, but that wastes 4 characters, and sometimes every space counts in a long tweet. Seesmic has simultaneous posting and, while it's a crappy app in other ways and I no longer use it, have to say that it is clearly possible to enable dual-posting through both the twitter and FB APIs. If Seesmic can do it, then it's doable. Whether or not a developer chooses to do it is a different matter, but I can say that dual posting is indeed feasible without hashtags.
