unable to refresh facebook
I am unable to refresh facebook. EventBox shows the last item in my feed as 17 hours ago, but if I go to facebook.com the last item on my feed was posted 21 minutes ago, so EventBox is no longer succesfully downloading my items for facebook, even if I right-click on facebook and click "refresh." Quitting the app and re-opening does not help.

Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with EventBox/Socialite, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.
What version of EventBox are you using? Have you tried the EventBox 1.0 Beta which is available from this link?

I am using using EventBox version 1.0 (Beta 1) and am experiencing the same issue with Facebook not updating. I am running it on Snow Leopard 10.6.1.
For Facebook, EventBox consistently shows the small circular arrow icon that its refreshing but the last update it has from Facebook is 20 hours old, when in fact the latest update is less than 5 minutes old.
My Twitter account in EventBox is unaffected by this bug. This problem began two days ago for me, shortly after upgrading to the newest 1.0 beta.

Same here - this is REALLY annoying, because I am using Eventbox mostly because of its Facebook integration.
It only refreshes on Eventbox' start up or when deleting and re-adding the Facebook service. I've tried everything: Deleting Multibox multiple times including all the plists etc., deleting from and re-adding Eventbox to my allowed applications within Facebook ... I think it has something to do with my friends' photos as my own photos and status updates until the time of refresh are downloaded, my friends' photos, however, aren't. Looks like Multibox is trying to desperatly refreshing/downloading those but failing again and again ... and therefore is an a cycle of endless refresh.

Sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues. We've had a few reports similar to this and are working on way to consistently recreate the issue and fix it.
