I can now confirm that Socialite (version 1.0) is the application that freezing my entire system 10.5.8 (MacPro Desktop)
zero crashes without running socialite
running socialite on its own - system freezes after a while (time period unknown) - with no user interaction

I think it might be screwing up the SystemUIServer

I am going to turn off Growl (don't have little snitch) for Socialite to see if that helps
I'm not too happy in the fact it is not doing my mac any favours having to hard reset it

I started a new thread as my last one got a little hijacked.

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are still having issues with Socialite, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.

I presume you have been though the steps in the following link:

    http://support.realmacsoftware.com/discussions/socialite/254-freezes-the-entire-system

Could you indeed turn of Growl notification for the time being and see how you get on? This will help us determine what the issue may be so that our developers can work on a fix.

    Kind regards,

    Luke
