Google Reader Doesn't Load Articles

Google Reader in Socialite doesn't appear to work at all for me.

I put in my credentials, and initially my folders/tags appear, but Socialite just displays the loading progress icon and it never loads my stories. This bug has been around since beta 2 and I have just kept removing the service and re-adding it every once in a while to see if it starts working. So far nothing. I've also tried trashing all my preferences, re-adding all my services, but none of this has solved my issue.

Any ideas? Is there anything I can send to help try and solve this issue?

Thanks!

Ross

Here is a console text file of some hopefully pertinent information. :)

Also, one of my tags in Google Reader uses a hash # in the name. Could this be causing problems? (I wonder if anyone at RealMac will respond to this thread. It's looking like I am talking to myself! :) )

    Hi there

Thanks for the reports. I'm sorry for the delayed reply: we've been working through a 500-message strong inbox following the 1.0 launch :)

Looking at the console log, it seems to be the downloading of your friends' shared items that's causing the bottleneck. I've forwarded this log onto our developers to see what steps can be taken to work around this in a future update to Socialite.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Nik

I am confused. The link you posted links to: Socialite 1.0.2 Beta 1. Is there a Beta 2?!?

I downloaded and tried 1.0.2 Beta 1 and Google Reader still doesn't work for me. (Too bad, since things worked well in EventBox. :( )

    Hi Ross

Apologies: I did in fact mean 1.0.2 Beta 1. We're still looking into this.

    Thanks!

    Hi there

Thanks for the update. We're looking into this still: however as Google Reader's API isn't currently publicly documented (and as such, we're working around Google's system) there are occasional glitches depending on the user account's setup.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Nik
