Mentions and Profile Peek content limit?

When I install Socialite from a fresh install and add my twitter account, Mentions and Profile Peek (of my own account) load just fine with all the tweets I expect to see there. When I close Socialite and restart, both nodes have far fewer tweets than they did prior to close. What's going on?

    Hi there

By default, accounts default to a 7 day 'content limit' that - after the initial loading of Mentions - will limit the content to that time frame. You can, however, adjust it to up to 28 days by right-clicking on the sidebar item and choosing the 'Content Limit' option.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Nik

Thanks Nik. I should have mentioned in my first post that I adjusted the content limit to 28 days and refreshed (and relaunched), and the number of tweets didn't change. I also tried 28 and then selected Limit Now. Why don't these just pull live lists each time?

    Hi there

We deliberately don't pull lists live each time as going back 28 days in Twitter's history can use up a large amount of API requests (which are limited to 150 per hour per account). Given that some users have a large number of profile peeks to follow people without actually 'following' them, all these requests can use up your requests rather quickly!

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Nik

Ok, thanks. Can you speak to why changing to 28 days had no effect?

I've also noticed that Mentions doesn't contain what it should. It's showing my most recent tweet (to @socialiteapp no less!).

Is no one else having the issue with content limit sticking at 7 days regardless of what you tell it?

    Hi there

Thanks for your message. Once the content has been limited to 7 days, and the option is then changed, Socialite does not backfill the data on the next launch. The 'Content Limit' option is designed to expire content (so changing the limit to 28 days means that any content from today will be removed after 28 days).

We're aware of an issue that Mentions show tweets from your own account and will be fixing it in a future build.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Nik

Thanks for the explanation Nik. Glad to hear a Mentions fix is in the works. That's a pretty big issue.
