Socialite running really slow after upgrading to Snow Leopard
Hello! I upgraded my OS to Snow Leopard a few days ago and Socialite is the only app that seems to be affected since then. I download the app to reinstall it, but the problems persist. In addition to it running extremely slow (clicking on an item to see the full version in the preview pane takes minutes to execute), I've noticed that the number of unread items is going down for RSS feeds that I haven't gotten to yet (so the app is marking things unread on its own).
Do you have any other suggestions for me or is this a bug with it running on Snow Leopard? I never realized how much I relied on Socialite until this stuff started to happen. :)

Hi Luke,
I ended up having to restart from scratch with a fresh database, but that seems to have done the trick. I mainly use Socialite for RSS, so luckily I was able to export and re-import my list of feeds so that I didn't have to re-subscribe to each one manually and now everything is working great. Thanks for the help!

Hi Luke! After a few days of working fine, I started having the same issue again. (This was before I was notified of the most recent upgrade, too.) Do I need to purge the database again or is there something else I should try? Thanks again!

I've posted a new discussion regarding this and I think mine is smilar to yours. After a fresh database, it will work fine and after a couple of restart, it will just slow down to a crawl and get stuck on refreshing the feed.

Hi Guys
Thanks for your updates. To limit this issue, we typically advise folks to lower the content limit on their socialite accounts to 3 days (by right-clicking on the account, choosing 'Content Limit' and then selecting 1 or 3 days). Then right-click again -> Content Limit and choose the 'Limit Now' option.
Our developers are currently working to ensure this isn't necessary in a future update, and we're hard at work re-structing Socialite to avoid this being necessary!
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Nik
