"Upgrade" from RW5 to App Store RW5?

Any reason you would do this?

Not sure if it is a good idea or a bad idea, but Pixlemator is offering an "upgrade" from 1.x to App Store 1.x and 2.x when it is released for a "discounted" price of $30. Normal retail for 1.x was $60. Not clear to me if a new user buying App Store 1.x for $30 will also get 2.x tossed in when it is released.

I'd be happy to use the App Store functionality, but don't really want to re-purchase all of the software I already purchased!

Yes, Realmacsoftware could offer the upgrade to version 6 to all the MAS buyers, then everybody could be happy ?

Interesting - I've bought version 5.02 and I too have no way of upgrading to 5.03 without spending £23.99.

Whilst I fully appreciate that there has to be a cost to an upgrade to compensate the developers, wouldn't it be sensible to offer the legacy users, in their move from direct or third party upgrades, an incentive to get behind the new App Store for Mac?

Normally you should have 5.03 version throught the update process, at least it is what I've understood. Only Courier is App Store Exclusive. Perhaps there is a little delay to have it in the update process of the software.

    Hi Laurent,

Thanks for your prompt reply - you've just caught me before nodding off!.

I've tried to update through MacUpdate but it is convinced that 5.02 is the latest as well as the RapidWeaver program itself.

    Kind regards,

    Mike.
