Rosetta asking to be installed on save in Snow Leopard
Hi,
I have installed 4.3 RC so I can run it on Snow Leopard. It seems to working fine, but when I do a save Software Update is launching and asking for Rosetta to be installed due to setfcomment.
Any idea why this might be?
Best wishes
Michael

Rosetta provides library support for code that utilizes legacy software calls (e.g. PPC). It's normal and most apps I've seen so far have required it. Think of it as a translation layer. I got the prompt to install Rosetta (it's from Apple) when launching Microsoft Entourage 2008 immediately following my Snow Leopard upgrade.
I hope this helps!
Thanks,
Sean

If it's working fine, don't worry--let sleeping dogs lie philosophy.
But Rosetta is an optional program which came with Snow Leopard disk.
Click in the "box" under "optional programs."

Thanks, I know what Rosetta is and I really don't want to install it. I am using it to find out who is using old code and can I do without it. Only my Eye-One software has asked for it, plus RW.
I have done so tests and it turns out it is PlusKit that is asking for is, not RW.
