I posted this earlier - it was marked resolved - it is not resolved.
I am using an iMac i5, with Mac OS X 10.6.4. I fixed permissions and tried safe boot mode.
Rapidweaver - has been working well, this changed recently for no apparent reason, I can load Rapidweaver but I can't start a new project or load an old project for that matter.
I did upgrade to 4.4.2 but this didn't help.
As above fixing permissions did not help and I had the same result in safe boot mode.
Thank you in advance for the help.
Terry.

Hi Terry
Thanks for your message. What happens when you try to create a new project? Could you send me a screenshot of what you're seeing, along with the exact steps you're taking to get this issue to appear?
Thanks!
Nik

Hi Nik,
What happens is nothing - so it would be screen shot of the screen back ground.
Steps;
1. Start rapidweaver
2. Select new project
3. absolutely nothing happens
or
Set preference to select a project on launch
1. Start rapidweaver
2. Dialog box comes-up and asks to select an existing project
3. Select existing project.
4. Nothing happens.
Best regards, Terry.

Hi Terry
Thanks for the update. Have you tried removing RapidWeaver from your Mac using AppZapper (appzapper.com) to remove all the preference files? I'm still trying to replicate this issue.
Thanks!
Nik

Hi Nik,
Thanks, I will download appzapper and give it a try...see what happens. Stay tuned.

Nik,
Sorry to report I used appzapper and reloaded rapidweaver and got exactly the same results. It simply will not start a new project or load an old project.
Regards, Terry.

HI Terry
Thanks for the update. I've asked our developers to look into this as the error is coming from something deep-down in OS X itself. As soon as I hear anything from them I'll be in touch, though it may be a couple of days as the developer is currently off on paternity leave.
Thanks!
Nik

Nik, last email you said you would have a software engineer look at my problem with 'rapdiweaver' Any results, etc.
Best regards, Terry.

Hi Terry
Thanks for your message. I'm still waiting to hear back (however I have chased this with him!). The issue seems related to something in OS X which is complicating matters!
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Nik

Nik,
Rapid Weaver loads but will not start a new project or load an old project for that matter - it does nothing - I had this same problem with 4. . and upgraded to 5.0.3 from the new APP STORE in the hopes that the issue would be resolved. Unlucky me - the same thing is happening.
I did have a lenghty communications with you and you promised to forward the issue to an engineer (who apparently was on a paternity leave at the time) for resolution but I never did hear back for you or anyone else for that matter. That was about five or six months ago
I thought it might just resolve itself with 5.0.3 - it did not and I am out the 40$ but it would be nice to have some feed back as to why this might be happening and a possible solution.
I appzapped the RW 5.0.3 install and reinstalled but that didn’t help.
I tried running RW 5.0.3 in safe boot mode with the same result as described above. Below is the console message.
I should point out I don't have APE running on my system.
PLEASE HELP!
Terry.
