nothing on screen

I loaded rapidweaver. Started a page. Named, saved and quit the program. Opened program and was if I wanted to check for and install updates. Said yes. Now rapid weaver is open , icon is on dashboard, but nothing on screen. Tried removing and reloading with no success. When I double click on the icon in the applications folder it then moves to the dashboard but i get nothing on the screen. This all happened today. Help. ASAP please.
