problems using demo version

Hello,
I'm having several problems while trying to use the demo version. I was able to successfully ftp a test site to a server and view the content on the server itself, and all looked well. However, I have a continual 403 error problem that I am trying to work out as well.

In the process of trying to fix the access issues, I noticed that rapidweaver is no longer sending all of the content to the server when I try to update the test site. In particular, all of the graphical content is missing, and I can no longer see my publish settings in rapidweaver. How do I force rapidweaver to provide me with the publish details so I can change server settings once again?

Thanks much for your time.

    Hi Mark

Thanks for your message - I'm sorry you're having issues! To re-view the FTP settings, just use the File menu -> Publishing Settings option. Note: when changing the Publishing Details, you should then use the Re-Publish All Files option to re-upload all the associated theme files for the site also!

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Nik

    Nik,
Thanks much for your reply. I have attempted to go back to the forums section of your support site, but it appears that it has been hijacked by some sort of odd advertisement for some other software, and only a movie plays and there is no apparent way to get to the support forum. I'm hoping you can take pity on me and answer one final question, as I have been trying to take the advice of fellow users on the forum and have started all over again, as I really want to purchase RW and get this going.

In a nutshell, I've upgraded the Mac mini to OS 10.5. Turned on personal web sharing, and all seems to be working fine when I direct a browser to my personal web address on the mini, and I can see the default bit of html code that Apple ships in the Sites folder. However, as soon as I remove these files from the Sites folder and place the rw files in there, I am locked out and can no longer access the contents of the Sites folder via the web on an another computer. It seems that there is something fundamentally wrong with how Apache treats the RW content or something. Can you suggest any ideas?

    Hi Mark

Apologies for the inconvenience - our site was being updated for our new app Courier when visiting it! In order to set up your project to display in the local web sharing folder, you'll need to export it from RapidWeaver via the File menu - the project file itself isn't enough for the site to display as we package up the data into a document format instead!

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Nik
