Hi -
I recently purchase RapidWeaver, so please excuse if this is a dumb question :-)
I am trying to add more than one photo album to a photo album page. What I can make out from the screen shot image in the manual, this should be possible, however, I am not able to.
PS: I am not using iPhoto to manage my photos

Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with RapidWeaver, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.
Are you using the 'Your Album (Click to change)' feature in the Photo Album page? A Photo Album page can only display one album at a time so you would need to drag all your desired images into the 'Your Album (Click to change)' folder to create one large album.

So should I require more than one album, I should rather use one default
³landing² page with link that redirects to several other photo album pages??

Hi Friedl,
Yes, if you didn't want lots of album page links in your main navigation you could certainly take that approach and create inter-page links to photo album pages which have had 'Show in menu' disabled in the Page Inspector.

Do you know of any shopping cart plug-ins that support South African
Currency?? I will be using this cart mainly for South African Currency. I
triedl Payloom, but for some reason it does not support SA Currency.

I have another question. When using a Style Text page and I insert an
image, how do I get to type next to that image (text wrapping)?? Similar to
the image used for the Style text icon, or one would find in a news paper
for instance. The best I could manage, was to type one line of text and it
is inserted at the bottom of the image...

It sounds as though you want the use the 'Align Image Left/Right' function in RapidWeaver. For a detailed description on how to do this, you might like to take a look at the following mini video tutorial on formatting text and images:

Can I add images (just to make it look nicer) to a File Sharing page?? I
tried to drag and drop it to where you put the page description, but it then
only displays the path to where the file is located on my pc....?

Hi Friedl,
Unfortuantely you can't add images to the main content area of a File Sharing page natively in RapidWeaver. However, I would perhaps suggest using a Styled Text page instead and making the link that you would like to share an asset.

Hi Friedl,
Some themes will apply justification to certain bodies of text as a feature of the theme, but otherwise it is unfortuantely not possible to set text to be justified natively within RapidWeaver's formatting tools. I should imagine a custom code solution for this is probably quite simple - so you may like to enquire on the forums about this and see if any other users can help you.

From looking at your contact form online it would appear that PHP is not enabled on your server. Do you know whether or not this is the case? The contact form needs PHP to run, so you would need to check this with your webhosts.

PS: Sorted the problems with the JUSTIFY text alignment. Copied text to
WORD, edited it there, copied it back to RW and whalla! Works for any

Hi Friedl,
It sounds as though you're work around for justifying text has worked as you've pasted in the formatting straight from Word. This is a great way to add extra formatting to RapidWeaver - however, just be aware that pasting pre-existing formatting into RapidWeaver can occasionally cause issues. More often than not I would always suggest pasting text into RapidWeaver 'As Plain Text' and then using RapidWeaver's formatting controls when you can.

I have managed to add assets to a page (audio files) to a page header. When
I ad a link to it, it allows a visitor to listen to the audio file. Is
there some way in which I can allow the visitor to DOWNLOAD the file
instead?

It is MP3 files... I went to
* Page Info,
* clicked on Header
* then clicked assets
* and then ADD FILES
Hope this helps.
I guess I can browse for the files on the FTP server to determine where
exactly they are posted at and type up normal URL¹s that point to them.
Just though there might be an easier way.
I am also having some uploading issues with Rapidweaver, at the moment I
export the site and upload using another FTP client.

Hi Friedl,
This is due to the default behaviour of the browser to play mp3s. You could zip your mp3s first before making them assets (by control-clicking on the mp3 and selecting 'Compress...') so that the browser treats them as files for downloading.

I ran into a HUGE problem.... When I tested our site, I tested it on my MAC
obviously using Safari as web browser. Someone using IE pointed out that
some things where not aligned properly. Some more than others..... Is
there a fix for this???

What theme are you using? Most native theme Internet Explorer issues are related to Internet Explorer pushing content below a sidebar. This happens when the main content area contains an image or slideshow that is too wide for Internet Explorer's liking (and is a known bug in Internet Explorer). If you reduce the size of the large image content in the main area by a few % using the Media Inspector (opened by double-clicking on the image in question) and then re-publish the site the webpage should display fine in Internet Explorer.

Thanks, I will see what I can do...
If you want to have a look an get a better idea of what I mean, the website
is www.heartconference.org On several pages the text does not line up
anymore and on the Home page there are 4 images, they should be next to each
other with the corresponding text right beneath them....
