Hi

I am thinking about starting up a web design company and I am curious how much it would cost to purchase everything I would need to design and publish websites using your most up to date software and licences.

Kind regards
Keith

    Hi Keith,

Thanks for the message. RapidWeaver is our powerful website creation application and is $79 in our store. For more information on RapidWeaver please check out:

    http://www.realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver

I would first suggest downloading and installing the RapidWeaver demo, which is fully functional with the exception of a 3 page limit per project.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Luke

Thanks Luke for quick response I appreciate that but I'm still not quite sure because I thought that the $79 was just for the interesting add on features.

Am I right in saying then that the initial download is free.
The add on features are $79 (or whatever the conversion rate is in UK £'s)
Then license fee for RapidWeaver £58.07
And licence fee for Little Snapper £28.67
And will I need anything else ?
Will I need the upgrade quoted at £22.05 or is that included in the latest download ?

I am just trying to get an overall outlay to get started with please.

    Kind regards
    Keith

    Hi Keith,

The RapidWeaver demo is free to download and then a full license for it (which unlocks the 3 pages per project restriction) is $79 (currently converted in pounds as £58.07).

In regards to add-ons - we offer a Pro Theme pack which is $39 and a number of third-parties also offer paid for add-ons, but none of these are essential to RapidWeaver.

LittleSnapper is our design capture application and unrelated to RapidWeaver. It retails at $39.

The RapidWeaver upgrade is only for users of the previous RapidWeaver version 3.5 - you would not need to purchase this if you are purchasing RapidWeaver for the first time.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Luke

    Hi Luke,

Sorry to be pain mate but downloaded rapidweaver 441 several times but it appeared in my downloads as a zip and no sign of the disc icon as shown in your installation video. When I unzipped it I got the folder "RapidWeaver Manual and Extras" and the docking icon with pen ok. Dragging docking icon into "Applications" file didn't help as disc icon was unavailable.

    Any advice please ?
    My Mac is version 10.4.11

    Kind regards
    Keith

    Hi Keith,

Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the RapidWeaver installation, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.

The installation of process of RapidWeaver has actually changed slightly recently (we're in the process of updating the video to reflect this). The download no longer includes a disk image, but just a zipped download of the application. You simply need to download it here, unzip it, and drag the RapidWeaver app file (clipboard and pen icon) into your Application folder. Then launch RapidWeaver by double clicking on the icon in the Applications folder.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Luke

Thanks for your patience Luke but I did try that yesterday and again today and it is the same with all 3 items (Rapidweaver, Little Snapper and Socialite). What happens when I double click these items from within the applications folder is that the Dock expands for a second and then contracts again.

Could it be a problem with my Mac I wonder ? Although I haven't had this problem before with other installations.

I really hope you can come up with a solution as I am quite keen to get to grips with your software.

    Cheers
    Keith

    Hi Keith,

What version of Mac OS X are you running? If you are running OS X 10.4 (Tiger) you will need to install RapidWeaver 3.6.7 which is available to download here.

For more on RapidWeaver versions please take a look at the following link:
