Technical Question
Two questions about Rapid Weaver
-
Even though I select a "flush left" type style my type is still justified both left AND right? Is there a way to override this so that I get flush left type with a ragged right margin?
-
How can I change the type colour for the Title and Slogan in the sidebar?
The template style I am using is called "Bravo"
Thanks for your help.

Hi David,
Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with RapidWeaver, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.
Could you send us over a few screenshots of your alignment issues?
You can change the colour of your type in the sidebar by highlighting the text and going to menubar: Format -> Show Colours. However, the Title and Slogan in the Site Setup sheet are styled by the theme default - changing these would involve some custom coding (something we are unfortunately unable to support as it is not native to RapidWeaver). You might like to post on the forums about this as we have a fantastic community that are often happy to help other users find solutions to unsupported features.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Luke

Thanks Luke. I've attached a screenshot of my home page, as you requested in your email below. As you can see, the type is justified both left AND right and I wanted it to be flush left only with a ragged right margin. In the type formatting bar, at the bottom of the "edit" page, I chose the option that was flush-left only. The only option there that seems to affect the look is the "centered" type option.
Thanks for your help.
Best,
David

Hi David,
Thanks for the message. This appears to be an issue with the CSS code in the Bravo theme. Many themes do have default styles (such as text alignment) to them but using the text toolbar to align text left should overwrite this. I'll file this for the attention of our developers. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
Kind regards,
Luke

Thanks Luke. I would appreciate if you let me know if/when your developers have a fix for this margin problem.
Thanks again

Hi David,
Unfortunately I can not give you a timescale for when this may be updated or for which update it may be issued.
For the time being though, I've worked on a custom-code fix that you may like to implement in your site yourself. If you go to the Page Inspector -> Header -> CSS and enter the following snippet of code in the 'Custom CSS' box this should overwrite the default text justification already placed on the text:
#container {text-align: left;}Please also see my attached screenshot.
Kind regards,
Luke
