Pages disappearing From RW project file.
I've been having a problem where upon clicking my RW project open to two files with the same name. The project(s) when open both end up missing pages. The pages that "disappear" vary each time RW is closed and then reopened. I have tried everything I can think of to solve the problem, replacing plug-ins, reinstalling RW, renaming my rapid RW project, etc. Nothing seems to solve the problem and everythime I quit and reopen RW, I have to replace/rebuild pages.
Thanks for your help,
John Merideth

Hi John,
Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with RapidWeaver, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.
Apologies - I am a little confused as the issue that you're experiencing. Am I right in thinking that when you double-click on your single RapidWeaver project (to open launch it in RapidWeaver) it instead launches two different projects, each with pages misssing? Is this right?
To help us further investigate your issue, we'd appreciate it if you could quickly run though the steps in the following link and let us know if you are still encountering problems:

Luke,
I have tried all of these things already as I already looked through the help section of the RW site for fixes.
However, I will try them again. Unfortunately, I use Adobe products for work, can't really stop using them.
How will opening RW in Safe boot help me identify the issue?
I have noticed that when I select open from the file RW project file menu instead of double clicking the RW Project file, it sometimes prevents it from double opening the RW project file and all my pages are usually intact and accounted for.
John

Hi John,
Thanks for the update. Re-starting your Mac in safe boot and then launching RapidWeaver before any other application or start up item and seeing if the issue persists will illuminate the possibility of any other application or start up item creating a conflict with RapidWeaver on your system.
Could you send us a compressed copy of your site file (.rwsw file) so that we may further investigate the issue?
Kind regards,
Luke

Hey Luke,
I have a feeling that it might have been an issue with a duplicate collage plug-in contained within my RW folder. I also had one or two plug-ins that were lightly out of date. Let me see if any of these fixes solve the problem. My site is pretty large, but if you want to download it you can do so by going to:

the password is: onlyoga
the file oy2010winter copy.zip
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
If you could first ensure that all your plugins are up to date and correctly installed first that would be great. Let us know how you get on!
Kind regards,
Luke

Luke,
I did all the things recommended in the link you sent me. I then attempted to open the RW project file and experienced the same problems.
I have included an image of what happen, i.e. it open the files twice:
Again, both files were missing some pages. One was missing several and the other was missing a blog page.
None of the fixes seem to be addressing the problem. Please let me know if you have any additional suggestions as this is really causing lots of extra work.
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
Thanks for sending that over. I was unable to recreate any issue with your site file myself. Although I did notice that you use some third-party plugins including Stacks, SimpleViewer and RapidMapGoogle.
Are you able to launch your project without issue if you run RapidWeaver in native mode (hold option when launching RapidWeaver)? Are all your third-party plugins definitely up to date?
Kind regards,
Luke
