Unable to open sandwich after doing a Time Machine restore
Hello
After restoring my system I am unable to open my main site's Rapidweaver sandwich. Rapidweaver opens, but the site appears to be blank. I had worked on the site the day before I had to restore my system. All my other site's sandwiches (not worked on for a while but still restored from Time Machine) still open.
I have the latest version of Rapidweaver and OSX 10.5.8.
I'll attach the sandwich.
Any help would be very gratefully received.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with RapidWeaver, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.
What original issue did you experience with your Mac before you restored? As unfortunately your site file appears to be in some way corrupted- when I attempt to open the file in RapidWeaver it appears empty, but I am able to control-click on the file in Finder and view the package's contents. Do you have another backup site file that you can restore from?
Kind regards,
Luke

Dear Luke
Many thanks for your reply and for attempting to open the sandwich. You're seeing the same as I am.
The original issue with my Mac, that prompted the restore, was that it was misreporting the remaining space on my hard-drive. It thought it was all but full, and had problems running any programs because of it, when in fact there should have been over 30GBs of space.
I wonder if there is any way for repair the sandwich from files in the package? Is it possible to work out which is corrupted?
Sadly my back up of the sandwich is similarly unopenable, and the only other back up is so old, that it is probably not much use.
With thanks for any more help you can offer.
Michael

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the update. Unfortunately it's not possible to repair a corrupt sandwich file or detect which part of it became corrupt. You will unfortunately need to 'Show Package Contents' (as I described in my previous message) and copy the content out of your file, or from a live site and re-create your site file.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Luke

Thank you for your help, Luke. I have had some success copying the files for the package contents and adding them to a new sandwich. I have noticed in doing this that some of the newer Page folders are empty, and wonder if this is where the original corruption has taken place.
Thanks again for your help
Michael

Hi Michael,
Yes, it's quite possible that is where the initial corruption occurred. Hope the transfer process goes ok for you! Let us know if you encounter any further issues.
Kind regards,
Luke
