My last thread was closed before I was able to provide a demonstration of the problem and the tech who last attempted to trouble shoot my issue closed the thread from comments and did NOT attach samples as he had said he had... But getting on from that:

On my work computer, it's working fine. But on my home computer, I get strange results. Linked are the strange PDF output and a PNG of the correct rendering.

PNG: http://files.me.com/kioarthurdane/c611yr

Since this is limited to this one computer, I'm stumped.

    Hi Mike,

Apologies - not only does it seem that my files did not attach properly, but that the thread was resolved when it should not have been. I shall look into this.

Thanks for sending those examples over - I can see the issue you are having. What version of LittleSnapper are you running on each machine? I'm still unable to recreate the issue myself in LittleSnapper 1.5.3. Are you sharing a library between the two computers then? If so, how are you doing this?

    Kind regards,

    Luke

Little Snapper 1.5.3 on both machines. On my home machine, I notice similar problems with DEVONthink's PDF import from Safari, so I gather it's something wrong outside of either application. However, both applications work as expected from my work machine.

No shared library. If you mean to ask how I could get files from my home machine while at work, I just use Screen Sharing from my work to operate Little Snapper on my home machine, move the output files to my iDisk, then share the contents from the MobileMe website.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the update and supplying so much information on this issue. We're still unable to recreate it, but we shall continue to look into the issue. In the meantime if you can think of any other pertinent information that would be fantastic.

    Kind regards,

    Luke

Ditto. Thanks for the support, and I'll let you know if there's anything I find. I plan on testing if a new user on the system gets similar render errors and if so, then I'll reinstall Snow Leopard to see if that fixes anything.

A new user on the same system results in the same problem. I am beginning my reinstallation of Snow Leopard.

Reinstalled 10.6.0, DevonThink's PDF import works perfectly. Little Snapper continues to omit the Blue bits and other backgrounds.

I moved my Little Snapper to the trash, downloaded a fresh copy off the Realmac Software page and dropped it in the Applications folder, logged out, logged in, removed the old websnap, pulled up the forum post, snapped the page, navigate to websnaps, file >> Export website as PDF. Same old formatting mistakes.

Comparison of DevonThink 2b8 vs LittleSnapper 1.5.3

At every step I'm taking below, I'm removing any previous websnaps in LittleSnapper and any PDFs I've saved to my desktop before re-snapping the website and selecting File > Export website to PDF and saving to my Desktop.

    • Update Mac OS X to 10.6.2: same problem
    • Quit LS and LS Nano, Move .lslibrary file to Desktop: same problem
    • Quit LS, Removed PDFIndex.sk per this discussion: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2258011&tstar... .... Same problem.
    • Quit LS, removed Caches/com.realmacsoftware.littlesnapper and Caches/com.realmacsoftware.littlesnapper.statusitem : Same problem.
    • Update Safari to 4.0.4: Same problem.

I can't find anything my in my /Library folder that makes me think it's the culprit. Again, DevonThink's import as PDF bookmarklet has suddenly started working, but LittleSnapper continues to not work in the same manner.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for sending all that info over. Could you try restarting your Mac in safe boot and then launching LittleSnapper and testing this issue before launching anything else. Does the issue persists in this case?

    Kind regards,

    Luke
