iPhoto problem - error messages - software can't work
Hi there. I am having problems with my Rapidweaver. It looks
like my iPhoto is messed up. Yikes. To say that I am not
technically capable is an understatement. Here is a pic of the
error messages. Please help!

No problems Heather, some of theses different file types etc. can get pretty confusing!

Hi Luke,
I was looking through the forum and saw a post by Kevin. It was about
the missing plugin warning message and that a reason could be a raw
ampersand. Should I search through the xml file and look for this?
Could this help me? What is a raw ampersand? Hoping to hear from you.

Hi Heather,
Could you take another look at Kevin's post as there was an issue in the text formatting of the post which I have now corrected so 'raw ampersand' makes a lot more sense. Give his fix a go and let us know how you get on.

I looked through the Album Data XML file, and all of the ampersands
looked like they should - &

Hi Heather,
Your AlbumData.xml file seems to load okay for me - which again leads me to believe you have some sort of system issue. Unfotunately for the time being I would again suggest rebuilding your project files by dragging the 'Originals' from your iPhoto library into a 'Your Album (Click to change)' folder in a new RapidWeaver Photo Album page.
In the mean time we shall continue to look into this issue here at Realmac HQ.

Thanks for the checking the AlbumData file. Kevin asked for a copy of
a iPhoto library. I zipped one and posted it in our discussion. Did
he get it? I believe he was going to look at the iPhoto library
itself. Thanks for the suggestion about the photo page - however, I'm
still in the same bad way because I still can't open any of the
projects that I've already made and that are in serious need of
updating. I wish I had the time to re-do five websites, however I
don't. I'm hoping that by looking at the iPhoto library that I zipped
and sent to you guys, you'll be able to see what is preventing me from
opening any of the files. Thank you very much.

Just wondering, why I am able to begin a new project and add a photo
page with the same iPhoto library that does not allow me to open my
other projects? Please, there's got to be a simple solution to this.

I did, in fact, get your library and do some testing with it over the weekend. Does this new library work for you on your system? Unfortunately, it's loading fine here which doesn't give me any clues as to what the problem might be.
You mentioned that you can create new projects that work with your iPhoto library and only your previous documents are having trouble? This is unexpected and makes me think the problem lies with the document itself.
I'm going to be offline for the next two days (Japanese national holidays) but when I get back I'll do my best to help you get this sorted out. We may have to resort to some iChat screen sharing (so I can see the data directly) or somehow get me the entire data set (document and library, hope it's not too big!). As you speculated above, I don't imagine the issue is a complicated one. It's just really hard to nail down without being able to directly debug it. Being able to reproduce bugs is the only sure-fire way to squash them.
My sincere apologies for the delay in getting this issue addressed. Hopefully we can make some progress on Friday.

I sent one of the site files (zipped) to Markus (a RW user on the
forum) and he was able to open the site fine.
For sure it's something simple, but like you said, you guys need all

Hi Heather,
To get back to this iPhoto issue I'm going to need a document/library combination that causes the error to appear for you. The previous library file you sent me opened and loaded fine here. Did this library cause a problem for you? I'm guessing it didn't as you stated that you could work with new documents without trouble. A few questions to get this new leg of the journey under way.

RW is once again operating well. Markus, the RW user who was helping
me, had suggested that I delete RW and re-install. He said it's best
to use a Clean App (or another one he mentioned) to do that. Well, I
tried deleting and re-installing again. And yippie! Unfortunately, I
also deleted my iPhoto application. I have no idea how I did this.
Anyway, thanks very much for sticking with this issue and offering
your help. I really enjoy RW, the Forum and, of course, the
Ninjas!!!!!! BTW, I saw that you like MMA. My husband is an MMA
fighter, Daniel Gracie. Small world. All the best!!!!

That's great news Heather! It sounds like the problem must have been related to a corrupt preference file then. Anyway, it's good to know everything is working for you once again.
PS: Yes, I'm a big MMA fan but I only really got interested in it about two years back. I train at an MMA gym here in Kyoto. I started a bit too late for it to be anything other than a hobby but it's good fun.
