Frustrated with the software and the manual
Gentlemen, I am quite frustrated with this program and the manual. The software is not intuitive and the manual is unclear and incomplete. I have spent an inordinate amount of time attempting to find clear instructions on how to add music files. Your manual references "Add Podcast" button however it does not say or illustrate where this button is found. I find nothing to help answer my question. The tutorials a silent on this as well. Conversely, I used iWeb installed on my Mac and I had no problem to quickly and easily adding music files from my iTunes to a draft web page. I will admit I am just learning web publishing, however I am unhappy with the investment (money and time) I have made with RapidWeaver so far . I would not recommend your product.

Hi Jose,
Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with RapidWeaver, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.
Please see the attached screenshot for locating the 'Add Podcast' button in the Blog Page Type edit view.
Which tutorials are you referring to which are silent? Could you provide a URL to the tutorial at issue as I have just checked them myself online and the audio appears to be working as it should.
What other issues are you having? As we would love to help you resolve any that you may be having.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Luke

I am trying to add mp3 (Itunes) music files to my website and remain unsuccessful. Why is it that I follow the schematic instructions (as much as they can be deciphered) and my music doesn't play? Your manual is nothing but a sales outline. It tells one that something can be done but it does not provide detailed step-by-step instructions. I simply want to add music to one of my web pages and this is proving to be quite an endeavor. There have to be better solutions out there. I remain unhappy with your product.

As a follow up question...what specifically is RW designed to do? Aside from my own frustrations using your software I have been reading the comments from others and the responses from the RW support team. The RW responses all appear to be that RW does not address the problem or refers the RW owner to the forums on the chance that someone there can provide some guidance.

I wholeheartedly agree. I have been struggling with this program since very early this year. The sales gimmicks are more informational than the manual itself. Currently I am struggling to publish this site to my working URL and it does not work. Whenever I do, it comes out in "edit" not the 'smart business version" What gives?
Overall, the information given is too unspecific enough for anyone to try and self fix without getting frustrated and deeply regretting buying this software. In order for it to work, one must keep buying new apps. And when one is on, it does not address the older problems you have overcome by sheer ingenuity. I will not go into specifics, but I'm sure you understand what I mean. I was contacted by the owner who just blandly suggested that I return the program if I am unhappy with. I invested not only money, but over 1000 hours with this and finally gave it to my husband who I had to teach how to use it. He too became frustrated and has stopped for the moment. He is unable to help me at this time. I cannot return this product. My year's work is on it. I just want it to publish the way it should... like a professional website.... not like the "edit version". I have looked high and low for a button that would fix this... but it is not happening... it has not happened for over 6 mos now. Why did I wait so long? Long story short.. life happens. I do not do this as a career. I am also someone who will try to explore all my options before I cry for help. If anyone else is having this problem, let me know so I can finally get this website up.

Hi Jose,
I'm sorry to hear that you are still experiencing issues and that the manual is not helping you to resolve them.
Which version of RapidWeaver are you using? Are you referring to the correct corresponding manual? The RapidWeaver 4 and RapidWeaver 3 manuals can be found here:
http://www.realmacsoftware.com/support/
What page type are you trying to add the mp3 to, are you still using the Blog page type?
Could you go through the precise steps that you are taking to encounter the issue? What elements of the manual are you having issue with?
In regards to RapidWeaver as a product - It is a web design application for creating theme-based sites. It comes with all you should need to create a great website. But at the same time it also supports 3rd-party plugins and themes so that 3rd-parties can design themes and functions that are not native to the application - and it is when we have a support request that is in regards to a 3rd-party or an unsupported element that we suggest to the user to contact the 3rd-party product's developer or perhaps enquire on the forums.
Having said this, if any users are having issues with supported features - such as adding an mp3 to your project than we do everything that we can to get the user up and running as quickly as possible!
Kind regards,
Luke
