I can't connect to Facebook

Hi everybody !

Congratulations for your app ! It looks really great ! But I'm having some problem when adding a facebook stamp. I get the error message :
"Facebook returned an unexpected response regarding your user information. Please try again, contact support should the issue persist."

    And of course I've got Snow Leopard 10.6.4 and a 64-bit Mac.

    Hi,

    just downloaded and testing Courier. It´s exactly the same with me! Latest Snow Leopard and Mac.

    Just logged into facebook in browser: In the app settings "courier" is listed! And in courier itself: After hitting the "OK" button, for just a second the message appears "Authentication complete". But the error message won´t disappear and I cannot go further!

    Hi guys,

    Thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with Courier, I understand what an inconvenience this may be for you.

    Could you try the following steps and let us know how you get on?

    • Quit Courier
    • Locate and remove the following file : `~/Library/Application Support/Courier/Presets/com.realmacsoftware.uploader.facebook.plist
    • Go onto Facebook online and click on 'Account -> Application Settings' and then locate 'Courier' in the list of applications and click the 'X' to remove.
    • Now re-launch Courier and add the Facebook plugin

    Are you now able to add it without issue, or are you continuing to run into problems?

    Hi Luke,

    thanks for your answer. The folder "Presets" and the file "com.realmacsoftware.uploader.facebook.plist" doesn´t exist in the mentioned path under "Application Support" (either System Library or User Library)!

    Hi Gabriel,

    Thanks for the update. If you just remove 'Courier' from Facebook online and then try to re-autenticate, do you still experience the issue?

    Hi Luke,

    tried it but same error again. I deleted it from facebook online, then restarted Courier, opened an envelope, put the facebook stamp on it. It didn´t ask for password and login, the info pull down window appeared with the list of data Courier will be granted access to. After pressing "continue", same error as before.

    I think it would be good to implement a reset function for login data etc.?

    Experience the same problem with the Facebook login. Tried everything, but same error occurs.

    Our developer's have isolated this issue and are currently working on a fix! This fix will be available in the next impending update to Courier which will be released very soon.
