Flickr and Aperture
Hi
I'd like to know how Courier works with Flickr and Aperture.
There's no demo for Courier and your web site does not provide specific info via screenshots or the support section.
I'd appreciate it if you could advise how Courier works with Aperture (drag photos to Courier? Pick photos from an iLife Media Browser window?) and what Flickr parameters I can change from Courier eg privacy, add pics to existing set, add pics to new set, give pics a location, upload pics with Aperture metadata including title, keywords, description, etc.
Thanks

Hi Dale
Thanks for your message. You can drag images in from the Finder / Aperture / iPhoto for use in Courier - note, though, that with Aperture you likely need to enable "Preview Generation" to be able to drag images out of the app.
With regards to Flickr, you create a preset of the Flickr account you wish to use, the privacy and set and then use the preset on the images you drag in. We don't currently support Geo-location for pictures, however you can set the other metadata for the uploads prior to hitting 'Deliver'.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Nik

Thanks Nik.
Can you confirm understood your reply correctly:
I may be misinterpreting what you've written, but it sounds like an entirely manual process. If not, attaching a screenshot would really help me understand.
Thanks.
Dale

Hi Dale
There's no way to send things to Courier from within Aperture currently (though we're looking into it). With regards to adding images, you can add them without leaving Courier (choosing the File menu's "Add Files" option, Mac OS X includes a basic iMedia browser for adding images - attached). If there's EXIF or IPTC in the exported images from Aperture we do indeed read and use those with the upload - though you can also add them, or edit them, yourself.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Nik
